Waco- Dr Pepper Museum & Lake Whitney Dam

A couple weeks ago we had a nice break again in the winter weather again so we took a day trip to Waco to see the Dr Pepper Museum. Last summer we went to Dublin, TX to see the original Doc's Dr Pepper museum and we thought it would be nice to see the other museum as well. There was only a small window of riding opportunity so the short ride to Waco seemed to make sense.

The museum was full of history and collectibles. It wasn't as good as the one in Dublin though. There was a lot of empty space in rooms where they only put a couple of items as if they were trying to figure out how to fill the area. Some of the business philosophies were very good though so we took pictures of some of the write ups.

We ate at some burger place that didn't impress us much while in Waco. The cooks either messed up or purposely put sugar on our fries instead of salt. The flavor was interesting but not good enough to keep us wanting for more. The burger was just some run of the mill thing that couldn't even compare to Dairy Queen let alone a specialty burger. It did the job of putting food in our stomach though. You never really know what your getting when you try a new place to eat, that's part of the experience I suppose.

On the ride back we rode across the Lake Whitney Dam. Its a nice experience to go across it. We stopped at the parks on both sides and took a break and pictures before heading home.

I didn't take video of this ride. I'm not sure why. We only took our cameras to take media memories with. There are some nice pictures of the museum and the Dam for our digital scrapbook.
